Another year, and Remembrance Day is upon us once again, and this year is symbolised by all the elevens, the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of the 11th year.
We remember the soldiers who were brave and courageous, who fought and gave their lives for us, and we remember the suffering thereafter.
As a reminder, and worn with pride, we wear the poppy, with its red, signifying the blood shed and the black for the soldiers who were killed.
Just like the soldiers, Jesus too, shed his blood for us when he was crucified.
Today, fighting and wars are still going on. We all “Hope” and pray that the fighting and wars will end and for peace to come.
An extract from the Bible, in Romans, Chapter 8 (The Future Glory), Verses 24-25 says as follows:
“It was by hope that we were saved, but if we see what we hope for, then it is not really hope. If we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience”.
